Comments/Problems:

On booting the machine, the DVD boots correctly. The introductory
instructions for the installer are shown, followed by the "boot:"
prompt.

At this point, no keyboard input is possible. Pressing <Enter> has no
effect, nor any other key.

The keyboard is a Happy Hacker USB keyboard.

For comparison, I tried booting an Ubuntu "dapper" live CD in the same
machine. At the equivalent "boot:" prompt, the same keyboard works
fine.

Please keep bugreports "mean and lean"

Send the installation report to submit@bugs.debian.org so it becomes
another report.
