Thank you for your mail. Next time you want to report issues with an installation, please file a full installation report [1] with at least the hardware-summary information from the installation included. Below some comments on the issues you reported. But because it _is_ already installed (it is listed in /var/lib/dpkg/status as installed), anna should not be complaining about it. I will file a bug report on anna for this. > Dec 10 13:28:24 cdrom-retriever: error: Unable to find > 'pool/main/l/linux-kernel-di-i386-2.6/ntfs-modules-2.6.22-3-486-di_1.57_i >386.udeb'. > Dec 10 13:28:24 anna[4712]: WARNING **: package retrieval failed This error, and some later errors is because somehow your installation CD has become unmounted during the installation process. This must have happened at some point earlier. Any idea how that could have happened? I have done quite a few installs recently and never had this issue myself. > Dec 10 13:28:24 debconf: cdebconf_gtk (process:1474): WARNING: > removing progress_box This message seems to happen any time a normal dialog temporarily replaces a progress bar. It looks to be harmless, but I'll file a bug report for it anyway so someone can look into it. > Dec 10 13:28:57 debconf: cdebconf_gtk (process:1474): Gtk - CRITICAL: > gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR (container) || > widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed This message is quite worrying. Only problem is that I cannot reproduce it with an image that I just built that uses some updated libraries. We'll keep an eye out in case the message reappears though. > Dec 10 13:29:02 main-menu[1482]: (process:4409): /bin/apt-install: > /bin/apt-install: 36: load-install-cd: not found Hmmm. This is probably a result again of the CD no longer being mounted. > Dec 10 13:29:03 apt-install: umount: Couldn't umount /cdrom: Invalid > argument Same here. > Dec 10 13:29:03 finish-install: /bin/apt-install: 36: > Dec 10 13:29:03 finish-install: load-install-cd: not found > Dec 10 13:29:03 apt-install: umount: Couldn't umount /cdrom: Invalid > argument And here.
