Bug#452654: skipping "Priority: important" packages

Package: debootstrap
Version: 1.0.7
Severity: wishlist

Hi!

It'd be nice if there was some way to use debootstrap to create a base
Debian system without including all the cruft that lives in the
"Priority: important" package set (sure, you can clean it up by hand
afterwards, but it's a hassle).

Looking at how debootstrap is structured, I suppose the way to do this is
add a new "variant" like "buildd" or "fakechroot".

Assuming it is, I'd be happy to provide a patch if you tell me:

  - What name to give this variant.
  - Which of the suite-specific /usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/* scripts
(other than sid/lenny) should be modified to include this feature.

-- System Information:
