Could you please try burning and booting the mini.iso image you find in my ~ in macswell once again

Hi!

I burned the mini.iso at

-rw-r--r-- 1 attilio attilio 19826688 Nov 19 18:44 mini.iso

When I booted it with "expert", I got the "night sky" effect I described earlier. The only way I could break out of it was to power- cycle the machine.

When I booted with "expert video=ofonly", it loaded the kernel and some other stuff then looped flashing the screen at me. I switched to the <alt>-F4 screen (syslog) and saw (transcribed by hand):

init: starting pid 802, console /dev/tty1: '/sbin/debian-installer'
init: Process '/sbin/debian-installer' (pid 802) exited. Scheduling it for restart.

over and over again (the pid numbers varied, of course)

Meanwhile on the <alt>-F1 console, it was repeating over and over again (while flashing) (transcribed manually):

(process:972): INFO: kbd-mode: setting console to Unicode (UTF-8)
