Hello, Trying a reload on the same box in "expert" mode from 4.0r1 DVD with 128M RAM still crashes before the end of installation, with the first hint of trouble being a message that no swap was activated, although the hard disc was partitioned with about 246M swap partition. Almost at the end of installing and configuring (about 20 packages to go) the configuring showed an error, "Installation step failed", hitting continue just went round a short loop which repeatedly failed at the same point. Hard disc 8.4GB partitioned as primary bootable 8.2GB LVM containing only / plus a primary 246M swap partition -- Microsoft sells you Windows ... Linux gives you the whole house. Chris Bell
