If the 2.6 kernel was used for installation, then the 2.4 kernel
should probably not be an option for the final system. Otherwise
it's possible that the user is left without a working system, if
hardware required a 2.6 kernel.

Recent versions of the debian-installer only installs 2.6 kernels, I am
thus closing this bug report.
