Bug#415020: installation: gdm, kdm fail to login after selecting choosewm and several window managers.
Package: installation
Severity: important
Initial login after install worked fine. After running synaptic and
adding kdm, wdm, choosewm, and several window managers (enlightenment
in particular), gnome and kde couldn't login. Neither gdm nor kdm
displayed options for window managers--why? Finally, wdm worked (looks
like somebody was clever enough to leave it alone).
Once logged in, synaptic can't be run now: sux and ssh unavailable! so
no root login. Guess I'll have to revert to text mode--why?
:w!
