You can find more detailed information about what goes wrong in such a 
situation on VT4 (switch there using alt-F4), or in /var/log/syslog, 
which you can view from the shell available on VT2 using 'nano'.

You can also try the 'dmsg' command which may show read errors from your 
CD.

As there have been no other reports indicating any structural problems in 
the installer, I suggest you try again with a current image from [1].

Closing this report, but feel free to file a new report after trying with 
a current image.
