Package: debian-installer Version: 20061102 Severity: normal partman doesn't display option "11. physical volume for RAID" for the first partition of any disk. option eleven however does show up for the other partitions. I can reproduce this bug on 2 different Netra X1s and on one Netra t1 105 with the daily build netboot sparc64 image from 18.02.2007. yours Martin

That's because it doesn't work on sparc to use the first partition for RAID, IIRC. partman-md (24) unstable; urgency=low [ Fabio M. Di Nitto ] * RAID cannot be selected if we are on sparc AND the partiton starts at 0 otherwise there will partition table corruption happening in the first 512 bytes of the disk. -- see shy joAttachment: signature.asc
