I'm posting the results for the tests I've run to make sure the new version of ttf-dejavu (2.15-1, currently in unstable) does not introduce any regression and can safely migrate into testing. I've taken screenshots using both deb and udeb packages and organized them this way (use [1] as root directory) 2.14-2 |_ deb | |_ udeb 2.15-1 |_ deb | |_ udeb 2.14-2_vs_2.15-1 |_ deb | |_ udeb changes can be found by looking directly at the pictures in 2.14-2_vs_2.15-1 which were obtained via compare 2.14-2/${file} 2.15-1/${file} 2.14-2_vs_2.15-1/diff_${file} and are marked in red colour; you'll see that - Kazakh (kk) misses instructions for some glyphs in the 2.14-2 udeb: that is #411909 and is fixed with 2.15-1 - Hebrew (he) has changed from 2.14-2 to 2.15-1: changes can't be seen to the naked eye and are explained by one of the upstream developers in [2] Note that there are no differences between deb and udeb when using 2.15-1 (i.e. glyphs are safely stripped out of the original ttf) 2.15-1 includes also a fix for #411308 (see [3]) regards, Davide [1] http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/gtk-frontend/screenshots/ [2] http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=31698300&forum_id=40874 [3] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi/DejaVuSerif.png?bug=411308;msg=56;att=1
