Bug#399882: Broken grub entries for multibooting Fedora

severity 399882 wishlist
retitle 399882 boot-prober should support 'module' lines in grub config
thanks

I've just tested using the the provided grub.conf with a daily Etch
installer and AFAICT the grub entries for the regular Fedora kernels are
processed correctly.

The problem is with the Xen entries, which look like:
title Fedora Core (2.6.18-1.2849.fc6xen)
      root (hd0,0)
      kernel /boot/xen.gz-2.6.18-1.2849.fc6
module /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-1.2849.fc6xen ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
      module /boot/initrd-2.6.18-1.2849.fc6xen.img

linux-boot-prober, and also grub-installer, currently don't know how to
handle the 'module' lines. As a temporary solution I've committed a patch
that makes the boot prober skip these entries with a message in the
syslog. At least this avoids adding broken entries.

It would be nice if support for 'module' (and 'modulenounzip') could be
added, but that is certainly too complex in time for Etch.

Cheers,
FJP
