I cannot boot the ISO images above. CD was burned with CDBurnerXP 3 under Windows XP Pro. Also Tried on a Toshiba Laptop (Intel Centrino DUAL Core), but the CD didn't boot either.

That is not so very strange if you are using images that do not correspond 
to your computer's architecture.
For your system you want the AMD64 images (assuming your system has an 
EM64T processor) and _not_ IA64 which is for Intel's Itanium processors 
only.
