To do anything about that, we need 'lspci -nn'.

Yep. This is something we're currently trying to track down.

No idea. Please contact package maintainer.

Not sure. AFAIK apt should not complain even if only the old key is
installed (as the archive is still also signed with that key. Could be an
update-manager issue. I've also seen this with debmirror for instance.

Again, not an installer issue though and possibly a consequence of you
using RC1 (which was before keyring was updated).

Probably only because the package was being upgraded during the install.

Do you feel it is useless in general or just useless for you? If useless
in general, please try to determine what is responsible for pulling it in
(tracing deps from gnome-desktop task) and file BR there.

Currently not a d-i goal to set this up.

You _can_ do this in expert mode or using preseeding, but not when
installing at default priority.

This would be a wishlist bug against partman-base. Could you please file a
separate BR for that?

Hmm. Not sure if we want to do that through the installer. There is always
VT2...

Well, there will always be the chance of security updates. But yes, the
difference will get smaller when Etch is frozen.
