Hi Sven,
powerpc support is not yet added to grub-installer, and I didn't submit the
patch since I was waiting for feedback.
Does grub-install(8) work on powerpc? If it does, you could try grub-installer
with my patch: http://aybabtu.com/rmh/powerpc.diff
