We all know that that is your opinion and you know that Joey has explained
several times why it is done the way it is.

Please leave this bug report alone. The request is for a rescue function,
not for a change in the normal installation. If the person implementing
this decides that this requires a change in base-installer, then we will
discuss that at that time.
