Comments/Problems:

Well, the kernel boots, loads the ramdisk, and start doing d-i stuff, among
them loading the ehci and ohci usb modules and the e1000 network modules, but
then just hangs there.

There are currently various possibilities explaining this, either the console
is not redirected to /dev/hvsi0 (despite it being added as serial terminal in
rootskel), or the machine somehow hangs because of modprobing some random
non-working module. I have some intuitive preferency for the first reason.

I was not able to get d-i to output more debugs, since i cannot really set the
kernel boot args, and forcing BOOT_DEBUG=2 or putting a -x in the coldplug
script didn't help.

forcing BOOT_DEBUG=3 complained about :

Warning: unable to open an initial console.

Attached is the full serial log.

Friendly,

Sven Luther
