Hello,
I'm processing old installation reports and noticed this one
filed in 2004 about the system hanging during boot.

This most likely indicates a problem with either the kernel or
hardware detection. Both have changed significantly since pre-
Sarge, so I would expect the system to boot correctly now. Please
reopen this bug report (or just reply so I can do it) with the
output of "lspci; lspci -n" in case the problem persists. We can
then reassign the report to the kernel or hardware detection
component responsible. Thanks.
cheers,
Max
