I've noticed that you updated the page for Etch, thanks!
Now as I have some background knowledge on configuration of USB ADSL
modems I'll revisit eciadsl from Debian repository and try to use it
instead of original package.


(BTW, the eciadsl package may be a bit buggy because I have never owned
the hardware and I am not much inclined to support these piece of crap
modems. Patches are welcome.)

Just FYI. D-Link DSL-200 (rev.B1) was distributed "for free" _as
officially supported modem_ for new ADSL users during the last months
by one popular ADSL provider in Saint-Petersburg and suburbia. So, I
think several thousands of users are currently using it here. Of
course most of them work under Windows, but as you see not everyone.
So, eciadsl package is quite important for us.
