What do you mean?? I've been running various GNU/Linux distributions 
like Redhat, SuSe, Mandrake/Mandriva and Debian and I like Debian best.
That is the reason for having Debian on all boxes.

Started the d-i in rescue mode and configured the network manually and 
all works properly! Very strange. However, when things did not work I checked 
both ifconfig and lsmod and all was OK then too! 
BTW: lspci is not available in d-i, at least I could not find it.

Seem that this question has been raised before. What is the primary 
use of the rescue mode in your opinion?
