Hmm. That reminds me why the protocol question is not asked: FTP support
is currently completely disabled in choose-mirror.
If I remember correctly, the FTP protocol was disabled in order to save
space as it means we don't need to include the mirror list for FTP sites.
Maybe we should re-enable FTP, but without supporting a predefined list of
mirrors (i.e. always just ask the user to enter the URL of the mirror
manually if FTP is selected).
