Comments/Problems:
Unable to detect/configure Broadcom 4318 wireless driver, configured
via eth0. No ndiswrapper in testing, so had to completely configure via
eth0, then compile and install ndiswrapper to get wireless working.

Additional: Unable to install KDE successfully - unresolved dependencies;
also problems with sound (initially ALSA worked, then on
installing ndiswrapper, sound failed and would not work
            after that).
<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>

I've used linux for a number of years (Slack, SuSE and Debian). I think the
curses-based installer works well. Perhaps others would prefer graphical, but
I don't really have a preference.

I used "Expert" mode for the first time - usually I don't bother, as in other
distros that makes me literally choose every package I want to install - and
that is too tedious. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you have grouped
the packages so I only need to select the use I plan to make of the machine,
and the defaults will be selected. I would suggest something other than
"Expert" for the description - so people will choose it more readily.
However, I do realize that many early selections, such as network setup,
partitioning, etc., do require more than a little knowledge.

Install logs and other status info is available in /var/log/debian-installer/.

Status: install ok installed
Priority: extra
Section: debian-installer
Installed-Size: 344
Maintainer: Parted Maintainer Team <parted-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org>
Version: 1.6.25.1-2
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.5-1), libuuid1
Provides: libparted1.6-13
Description: The GNU Parted disk partitioning shared library
GNU Parted is a program that allows you to create, destroy,
resize, move and copy hard disk partitions. This is useful
for creating space for new operating systems, reorganising
disk usage, and copying data to new hard disks. This package
contains the Parted binary and manual page.
 .
This package contains libparted, the required shared library
used by Parted. This is a cut-down package with no normal
documentation intended to be used in debian-installer.
 .
Parted currently supports DOS, Mac, Sun, BSD, GPT, MIPS and
PC98 disklabels/partition tables, as well as a 'loop' (raw
disk) type which allows use on RAID/LVM. Filesystems which
are currently fully supported are ext2, ext3, fat (FAT16
and FAT32), ReiserFS (with libreiserfs) and linux-swap.
Parted can also detect and remove HFS (Mac OS), JFS, NTFS,
UFS (Sun and HP), XFS and ASFS/AFFS/APFS (Amiga) filesystems,
but cannot create, resize or check these filesystems yet.
 .
Note that ReiserFS support is only enabled if you install
the libreiserfs0.3-0 package. Since libreiserfs0.3-0 has been
removed from sarge, ReiserFS support is not compiled in the
 default package.
 .
The nature of this software means that any bugs could cause
massive data loss. While there are no known bugs at the moment,
they could exist, so please back up all important files before
running it, and do so at your own risk.

for creating space for new operating systems, reorganising
disk usage, and copying data to new hard disks. This package
contains the Parted binary and manual page.

This package is similar to the "big" parted package, but has
less cosmetical features resulting in smaller binary. Intended
 to be used in debian-installer.

massive data loss. While there are no known bugs at the moment,
they could exist, so please back up all important files before
