Comments/Problems:
Trouble free install. network configuration automatically tries DHCP,
would be nice if it asked you to try DHCP or manual - even thou I have
DHCP on the LAN I installed the box with, I have to Go Back and
manually configure the Gateway to a different one to get a direct
route
out to the internet.
I use XFS for my filesystems because its simply better than ext3,
maybe the installer could offer some basic information on each FS
Getting a 2.6 Kernel to work with Sarge is not a simple process, I
either have module problems, or kernel panic's on boot. I have stuck
with the most
recent 2.4 kernel, this was a breeze to configure, compile and
install. Default kernel has a lot of stuff enabled that I just dont
and wont ever need.
Install logs and other status info is available in /var/log/debian-installer/.
