Comments/Problems:

System has a 2GB Compact Flash card attached via a CF to IDE adapter.
Boot from CD and install goes fine until I try and write my partition changes, I then get errors on the terminal from the compact flash device. See log files attached.

Curiously, if I mount the CF device in another machine via a USB hub I can create partitions etc., and I have successfuly loaded http://shopping.hacom.net/catalog/pub/debian/debian-sarge-1gb-hdc.img.gz by gunzip -c debian-sarge-256-hdc.img.gz | dd of=/dev/sda bs=16k onto the CF card in the other machine. More strangely the partitions created via USB hub do NOT appear in the partition manager.

Attached are the log files from the install.
I have gzipped them naturally.
