Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it
Initial boot: [O]
Detect network card: [OE]
Detection was right, but presentation of the interfaces makes trouble,
because the Ethernet interface is showed as SunGEM (that's right!)but
Ethernet over IEEE1394 is presented as Ethernet 10/100/1000. It would be
better to present SunGEM as Ethernet 10/100/1000 and Eth.o.IEEE as...
Ethernet over IEEE1394!
Configure network: [O]
Detect CD: [O]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [O]
Partition hard drives: [O]
Create file systems: [O]
Great and very clear new interface!
Mount partitions: [O]
Install base system: [O]
Install boot loader: [O]
Installed system ok: [O]
Comments/Problems:
Keyboard choice: my keyboard (swiss french latin1) was not presented - I
had to <dpkg-reconfigure console-data> to get it.
Network: during the installation, it seems that ethernet was named eth1.
But at the reboot, it was named eth0. I had to modify
/etc/network/interfaces, /etc/networks manually, and to route everything
manually. Why install configuration was lost?
dpkg-reconfigure locales doesn't modify /etc/environment!
But great job, hey!
make sure that the hardware-summary log file, and any other
installation logs that you think would be useful are attached to this
report.
Once you have filled out this report, mail it to submit@bugs.debian.org.

Description: The GNU Parted disk partitioning shared library
GNU Parted is a program that allows you to create, destroy,

for creating space for new operating systems, reorganising
disk usage, and copying data to new hard disks. This package
contains the Parted binary and manual page.
.
This package contains libparted, the required shared library
used by Parted. This is a cut-down package with no normal
documentation intended to be used in debian-installer.
.
Parted currently supports DOS, Mac, Sun, BSD, GPT, MIPS and
PC98 disklabels/partition tables, as well as a 'loop' (raw
disk) type which allows use on RAID/LVM. Filesystems which
are currently fully supported are ext2, ext3, fat (FAT16
and FAT32), ReiserFS (with libreiserfs) and linux-swap.
Parted can also detect and remove HFS (Mac OS), JFS, NTFS,
UFS (Sun and HP), XFS and ASFS/AFFS/APFS (Amiga) filesystems,
but cannot create, resize or check these filesystems yet.
.
Note that ReiserFS support is only enabled if you install
the libreiserfs0.3-0 package. Since libreiserfs0.3-0 has been
removed from sarge, ReiserFS support is not compiled in the
default package.
