He knew, that he would need to create a swap partition, but didn't found it the menu. Since the "access method" (Zugriffsmethode) of the newly created partition was set to "formate partition" (Partition formatieren), he didn't found the sawp-filesystem in the filesystem menu. It took him some time to find out, that he needed to change the "access method" to "use as swap" (Partition als Swap-Speicher benutzen). (actually: It confused me, too). I'm not sure, if it is a bug, or an User error, but if you look at the partition table, you see that all partitions are of type 83, allthoug sda2 and sdb2, the swap partitions, should habe type 82, shouldn't they? * The testpersonen selected only the task "Desktop Environment" (or at least: I didn't see him selecting anything else, but was a little bit distracted at this point). I wonder why libc6-dev, gcc, g++ and such stuff got installed. * While installing all the packages, an error occured (I didn't see it long enough, since it got overwriten by a blue/red error screen). I think it a KDE file was in two different packages - this problem seems to be coused by KDE 3.2.2 packages going to testing, while most are still on 3.1.5. However: This error dropped him back to the debian-installer main menu. Before the testperson startet the installation, I told him "if you are unsure, press enter", and so he did, continuing the instalaltion of the packages. After he choosed "install packages" in the main menu several times, he got it, but he was I think the debconf prioritie has been changed after the first problem, since he got asked much more questions than usal. However, he worked it out and got it installed. * During all the apt-get activitie, he wished to see, how much to do was left. Some Kind of progress bar, or a small "installing Package x of 614" would be nice. Yours sincerely, Alexander Schmehl
