I think the current translation is just right.
I just wanted to point out that if we're using various fonts to render
the text of different languages, we might end up having a mixture of glyphs
from different font files to just display a word.
I haven't checked yet, but if for example Arabic translation contained the word "Kamtšatka",
the "š" would be picked from FreeSans.ttf, whereas the other letters would be taken
from nazli.ttf and the result could be ugly.

yes.

see the "codepoints" column in [1]. I don't know how fast does the set change
(in poart because of the string freeze, in part because the computation of
codepoints is a very young feature)
