Comments/Problems:
I installed the debian testing netinst.
I partitioned the drive with one primary ext3 partition (as /boot), and
one big logical partition for use in lvm. I then created one VG and two
LVs (one for / and one for /home).
Install went fine. At boot the following errors occured:

udevd-event[xxxx]: run_program: exec of program
'/lib/udev/udev_run_hotplugd' failed.
udevd-event[xxxx]: run_program: exec of program
'/lib/udev/udev_run_devd' failed.
udevd-event[xxxx]: run_program: exec of program '/lib/udev/udev_vol_id'
failed.

xxxx counts up to 3865.

Then after the message:
device-mapper: 4.4.0-ioctl (2005-01-12) initialised
-- lots of udev fail spam --
2 logical volume(s) in volume group "basicdisk" now active
Done.
ALERT! does not exist. Dropping to shell!

BusyBox v1.01 ..
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off

Harmless and fixed with upload of new udev version earlier today.

Known issue in grub, also already fixed in new upload.

See http://bugs.debian.org/352654 for the solotion that will allow you to
boot (you need to specify the correct ROOT in the the kernel line for
grub).

Closing your report as both issues have already been resolved.
