The X configuration "tool" is "included". When you install X (for
instance by installing a desktop system), the X debconf configuration
runs. However, for default installs, most questions are skipped
because they have sane defaults which work for most setups.

ALSA configuration is more tricky and should probably need some work
to better integrate with the installer ("alsaconf" is actually not
based on debconf). This is till an area that needs work but most D-I
contributors feel this does not strictly pertain to the installer itself.
