The actual reason depends very much on which image you used to install: Beta1 or a daily build. If you used a daily build, see #351115 [1]. If you used beta1 and the kernel recognizes multiple disk controllers in your system, the reason may be that the order in which devices are loaded has changed. Check the boot messages on the console to see if the SATA controller was recognized and, if so, which device it was assigned to. This needs to correspond to both your boot loader configuration and the entries in /etc/fstab. You provide very little real information for better guesses.
