Comments/Problems:

(sorry for my english!!!!):
I've changed my old motherbord with this one. My old Debian installation
work good with a 2.6.12 kernel, but is impossible for me to compile a
new kernel (system doesn't boot) or do a new install with netinst cd
becouse the debian-installer doesn't detect the hard drivers....

You are doing fine: you _care_ to communicate

(in other words: keep up the good intentions
(and don't worry about your English))

Okay, that is good news.
(and this time clearly understood ;-)

This bugreport is now closed.

We, this project, are interrested in working versions.

We assume that we deliver a working versions
and need reports from others with different hardware.

We are "happy" with reports of failures
but are really happy with succesfull install reports.
(especially on systems there where precious reported as broken)

Back to the question

How to help with reports of non-working installations?

A good thing is to ask the reporter what the current situation is.
And update the bugreport with the provided feedback.

Cheers
