Bug#350271: "E: Unimplemented function" breakage caused by specific files

Package: cdebconf
Severity: normal

We had a "E: Unimplemented function" breakage on Cobalt the last few
days. I've investigated this now and found out that the problem is
caused by files in ./lib/debian-installer-startup.d/.svn. I'll
rebuild rescue now without those SVN dirs, but the interesting
observation I made that I still got that cdebconf error when I moved
those files to another directory (ignore-svn) on the initrd. It seems
something in there is breaking cdebconf and maybe cdebconf can be made
more robust. I've attached a tar ball of this dir.

(There were other .svn dirs on the initrd but these didn't cause any
problem.)
