Thanks Christian.. but what abt the cd drive detection? using the netinst images, my cdrom is not detected.. using regular cd image my drive gets detected.. could you please help me with that too

According to discover1-data, the module that should be loaded for your
card is "b44"
This really needs to be tested with the daily builds.
