Does that mean that one should boot the installer with:
   install bg=dark

If so, would it not be better for consistency to capitalize the parameter:
   install BG=dark

Or even to use a bit more descriptive parameter like "BACKGROUND" or even 
"FRONTEND_BACKGROUND"?
