Comments/Problems:

-- Boot --
ISOLINUX.CFG is pointing to the wrong spot for the kernel image.
Booted by entering /install/2.6/vmlinuz vga=normal
initrd=/install/2.6/initrd.gz ramdisk_size=10668 root=/dev/rd/0 rw  --
on the command line.

-- Detect hard drives --
SATA drives not detected. Sarge release install CD picks them up as
legacy ATA drives (which doesn't really work.) The hardware detection
did not locate them. After network install, was able to load them
with modprobe ahci. Interestingly, the installer didn't notice that
there were no hard drives and shows me some strange partitioning
choices (with no drives available.) I know the sarge installer used
to warn if there were no partitionable drives available. Going back
through hardware detection worked around this issue (after manually
loading the module).

-- Reboot --
Things didn't work too well after the reboot since the installer
didn't know to drop the driver in /etc/mkinitrd/modules. It wouldn't
have mattered anyway since the kernel-image package on the CD
(2.6.8-2) doesn't have the ahci module. 2.6.11 in the etch repository
does so everything worked out in the end. I guess this will fix
itself once the CD has 2.6.11+ for the d-i kernel and the
linux-kernel-image package?

-- Rescue Mode --
Rescue mode doesn't work. After it detects the CD Rom, I get a red
screen indicating an installation step failed. The failing step is:
Enter rescue mode
