Bug#312135: install: Hangs when detecting pcmcia hardware

On a Maxdata Artist Stanford I could not get any of the sarge installers past the hardware detection.  I found this on the access CD iso 29 01 2005, access floppies from the 28 May 2005 net install CD, as well as, the non access installer straight from the CD.
