What for termwrap resets console encoding on exit?
Currently, on end of stage 2 install, on exit termwrap tries to reset
console to iso8859-1 encoding.
What for does it do that?
For cyrillic (and probably other locales), it actually breaks console.
When user logs in on the console of fresh-installed system, and tries to
start nay localized program (e.g. apt-get to install something), it outputs
localized messages (because installer configures LANG in /etc/environment
properly), which display incorrectly on the console, which was just reset
to iso8859-1 by termwrap.
AFAIK, currently d-i first stage setups console properly for many languages.
Maybe termwrap should stop breaking those settings? Maybe termwrap is no
longer needed at all?
