Method: I downloaded the image, burnt it to CD, then booted off cdrom.

Root Size/partition table: single partition for the full size of

If I install Debian stable, I have no problems. Debian stable uses
kernel 2.4.18 and does not use initrd images. The problem seems to
be with kernel images that use initrd.
If you need any more information, or have stuff you would like me to
try out, please do email me and let me know what you want to try.
I really would like to have Debian/Sarge running rather then woody
or NetBSD for that matter (which is the other system that boots up
_and_ lets me use X11, but that is another story).
