Try manually doing 'modprobe forcedeth' on console 2, then returning to
detect networks on console 1.

For some reason some boards don't list nvidia's ethernet in the pci list
and that is what is used to decide what drivers to load.  Often loading
the right driver still works though, so it must be a bug in the pci
listing in 2.6.8.
