Comments/Problems:

Doing a PXE boot using netboot images from above URL. At the mirror
selection screen, I select <Go Back> and re-enter the option so I can
specify the protocol and distibution to use.

Protocol: http
Mirror Country: United States
Mirror: ftp.us.debian.org
Proxy: <blank>
Version to install: unstable

Results in:

"No kernel modules were found. This probably is due to a mismatch
between the kernel used by this version of the installer and the
kernel version available in the archive."

"If you're installing from a mirror, you can work around this problem
by choosing to install a different version of Debian. The install
will probably fail to work if you continue without kernel modules."

"Continue the install without loading kernel modules?"

Choosing to install "testing" or "stable" works fine.

I would expect this to work since, as indicated above, the build of
d-i being used is from unstable.

This bug was originally reported as #343144. Re-reporting here with
full template per Joey Hess's recommendation.
