Package: installation-reports

Debian-installer-version:
http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/i386/current/debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso
2005-10-23

uname -a: 2.6.12-1-386

Date: 2005-10-23 (11 pm)

Method: Install via net CD. Booted off CD; then tried (and failed) to
download via net.

Machine: Epia ME-6000 with 1GB Compact Flash for hda.
Processor: Via C3
Memory: 512 M
Root Device: /dev/hda 1GB CF card.

All of hda as a single partition, reiserfs, 1GB, mounted as root. No swap.

Output of lspci and lspci -n:

Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot worked: [E]
Configure network HW: [O]
Config network: [O]
Detect CD: [O]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [O]

Mount partitions: [O]
Install base system: [E]
Install boot loader: [ ]
Reboot: [ ]

Comments/Problems:

Unlike the 3.1 stable installer, this succesfully managed to partition,
format, and mount the hda CF card.

However, I got bitten by the secure apt problem:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstallerToday (19/October)
This, despite the fact that I used the 100M netboot cd.
Is there any workaround to this problem?

Sure, use the businesscard CD, netboot or floppy images. All will work
fine...
