Not a problem. I was trying to get the Cario backend to a more usable
standard state right now it uses a bit of a hack were it simply
creates a image backend using the locked directfb surface.

But let me upgrade the current cairo driver to 1.0 then gtk. It should
pretty much just work.

Time ... 
Give me one week and I'll let you know if its ready or if not how long.
