Bug#322685: This bug is probably to be closed ("localechooser- menu display on ia64 corrupt")
Matt, could you try a ia64 daily build to see whether this bug is now
fixed or not?
localechooser now displays only Latin-1 compliant languages when no
framebuffer terminal is available. The screenshot you posted seems to
indicate that this was the case in your test (no framebuffer).
I don't know whether not having a frambuffered environment in ia64 is
normal or not but actually this bug should have disappeared with
recent localechooser versions.
