Hi there.
I dunno if this email is sent to the correct person, I'm sorry if not.
A friend of mine experienced the #312421 during a network installation.
He restarted the system few times, booting with different settings, with
no luck, neither in installing grub nor lilo. Then, booting in expert
mode, the problem vanished and lilo got installed correctly.
