I want to make test install on part2
part1 is for real installs /boot Sid and Sarge
part5 and part7 are one volume group with logical volumes for /,
/var, /usr (two of each for Sid and Sarge) /home, /tmp and
/var/tmp common for Sid and Sarge
Output of lspci and lspci -n:
/bin/sh: lspci: not found
Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it
Initial boot worked: [O]
Configure network HW: [E]
Config network: [O]
Detect CD: [O]
Load installer modules: [E]
Detect hard drives: [E]
Partition hard drives: [E]
Create file systems: [E]
Mount partitions: [ ]
Install base system: [E]
Install boot loader: [ ]
Reboot: [ ]
Comments/Problems:
Configure network HW:
cannot detect my onboard ethernet, I tried to manually load modules
but none is suitable
cannot detect automatically my ethernet pci card, I have to select
8139too manually
Load installer modules:
doesn't load disk-detect which is requested for sata disk detection
Detect hard drives:
cannot detect automatically, I have to select ahci manually
Partition hard drives:
when I have to confirm partitions for lvm, all listed partition are #1
in the list, but logical volume name are right
when creating ext3 filesystem also
then it says the partition is not affected to any mount point and when
I says I want to go back to the partionning tool (answering <yes>
to the question) it continues...
I cannot setup the clock and base system install fails saying an
installation step has failed
