for my scsi controller, the sym53c8xx_2 or ncr53c8xx scsi modules work
for linux kernels 2.4.x, but the initrd only attempted to load
sym53c8xx(which works for linux kernels 2.6.x).

this causes a kernel panic on first boot, even though it detected the
appropriate module during the installation process...

This problem is fixed on sarge version and since I checked it against
the source I'm closing this bug.
