This bug is merely a TODO for post-sarge, although it would be great
to have this fixed even before sarge's release:

My suggestion would be to add a prompt before the tasks are
displayed, asking whether the user would like to install additional
software or just be dumped into a minimal system. Simple yes/no
question, with 'yes' (go and install some software) being the
default, if it must.

I would be happy to submit a patch.

Tasksel allows you to de-select everything, including now the "Standard
system" and end up with a very minimal installation.
