Is there a Debian equivalent of RedHats monitor database? (See RedHat
"hwdata" package used in their installer "Anaconda" for this database
file, /usr/share/hwdata/MonitorsDB in a recent RedHat distribution.)

I know that read-edid should query the monitor for resolutions and
frequencies, but sometimes it simply does not work and only the edid and
a cross-reference list (like RedHats) or a selection list with defaults
like that is very useful during install.

What do you think?

Yours,
Linus Walleij

Yes.

I'm closing this bugs since xresprobe provide that feature.
