Dear Ladys and Gentlemen!
At Present I'm working at a desing for a linux based snmp-proxy. I want ro
use the debian sarge system.
What I did:
Download the version "debian-31r0a-i386-netinst.iso"
Install it on an industrial computer with 512 MB compact flash as hard
disk.
It works without problems. But I need more disk space.
I switched the 512 MB into a 1 GB compact flash an did the same
installation.
The problem:
After the reboot in the base-configuration routine there is an error
message that similarly prints: "passwd is not installed" but is installed.
And: an ":" is missing in a file that name i don't remember.
I supposed that the compact flash card is not o.k. any more an built a swap
partition at the beginning of the partition. But the same error was
displayed.
How I resolved the problem:
I built a partition witch exactly 512 MB an installed debian again. Now it
works an i can maximize the partition.
Are there analog problems known? How can I resolve the problem correct?
