I support this request. Indeed, I asked Eugenyi to bring up that topic
before fixing it in SVN only because I feel that it's worth discussing
it before fixing. Past experience has shown that base-config changes
*have* to be discussed and, indeed, I'd like to get Joey's advice
here.

I think that this is because base-config is not only meant to be used
during the install process, IIRC. For instance, several things in it
come from Skolelinux needs. So, removing some features probably needs
to get input from Petter and, again, Joey.
But, in general, I agree with Eugeniy analysis. However, we'd better
keep the code commented rather than removing it. It would help in
tracking down issues which could be triggered by that problem.
