FWIW, I don't see any reason right now why this bug wouldn't affect
other software installed by aptitude as part of the base-config process.
Unless apt un-ignores the signals. If other daemons are affected, this
bug could escalate from an annoying but livable delay stopping exim to
other broken behavior, which could be, arguably, release critical.
